Even though the prize pots will inevitably be smaller, it's still very much worth playing in rooms with fewer players for the simple reason that you stand much more chance of winning and more often. Sometimes you ll have more luck by playing smaller rooms and building up winnings slowly rather than holding out for the higher jackpots in bigger games. I find that this technique works best in rooms of 50 players or less. It is possible to find rooms with fewer than 10 people but these are harder to find.
To find out how many people are in the room, join a Bingo room and take a look around the game screen to see if it tells you. This is usually somewhere around where it shows the jackpot amount. If not, look for the number of users in the chat room - this will also give you a good indication of the number of people playing. Sometimes you may need to click a "users" or "who" button on your chat room dashboard to see the number of people in the room.
Not all people in the chat room will be active players. From my own experiences, you can assume that between 50% and 80% of the room are active players in a typical game. Some players only play once every other game, some will just be there to chat and others will just be playing mini games. So in a room of 50 players, we can assume that between 25 and 40 people are actually playing at any one time.
Finding rooms with fewer people is quite easy to do once you know what to look out for. As you get more accustomed to Online Bingo, you'll get to know which sites are most popular with other players. Sites that you may have seen advertised on TV like Sun Bingo, Gala Bingo, Foxy Bingo and Mecca Bingo are massively popular so rooms tend to have many more players. You'll have a much better chance of finding smaller rooms at some of the lesser known Bingo sites. Sites like Bingo Cafe, Desperate Housewives Bingo and Bingo Liner are just as good fun to play at as the big sites but have much fewer players meaning that you'll win more regularly. For a full list of sites, see the list at the end of this book.
However, even if you do play at the bigger sites, you can always find those smaller rooms. Here are some ideas to help you find those Bingo rooms with fewer players:
1) Pick your time of day Bingo sites in general tend to be quieter at certain times of the day. Try playing outside of the usual mid evening busy time and you'll find far fewer players.
2) Take advantage of International Time Zones If you live in the UK, try playing at Bingo sites more focused towards USA, Canadian or Australian players. The difference in time means that you'll easily avoid those country's busiest periods and find smaller rooms more easily. Obviously if you live somewhere else in the world, then play at UK sites for the same effect.
3) Play in Rooms with More Expensive Cards The busiest rooms on Bingo sites are always the ones with cheaper cards. Before you enter any Bingo room, it will usually tell you how much it costs per card. Try checking out Bingo rooms with more expensive cards and you'll find far fewer players in there. And remember, if you play in the more expensive rooms and are using the methods explained in part 1 to take advantage of those 100% deposit bonuses, you'll only be paying half price for your cards
Once you ve found a good sized room to play at, you can either just play as you normally would in the knowledge that you have better odds of winning, or better still, you can apply the techniques you have already learned to increase your chance of winning even further. Personally, I like to use the doublecards technique in smaller rooms as this works much better with fewer players around.
