I stand in front of the mirror looking

side ways

Peering into the face that doesn't belong

to me

She has loosened her grey hair in

special ways

She is my Pretty Lotus come to check

on me

With a soft smile I raise my hands to

touch her

She has put on a veil that's hiding her

pretty face

I move with agility wanting to unveil to

see her

I am amazed that her face is behind

that lace

Her eyelids are darkened with beautiful

colours

Her hair parted in the middle all looking

gold

Unseen she makes my pain go on for

hours

It feels like the game we played during

the cold

She sees my eyes overflowing with

warm tears

These were held back during the

dreams at night

Upon finding her they ran down

without any fears

She was the one soothing my aching

heart all night

Now is the time to take a look at her in

reality

Dreams were for the night I found her

in the day

I am awake and breathing all here is

beauty

I can hold her tight and enjoy my day

today

This is my victory she is in my heart

and soul

I can paint a picture of her to hang on

the wall

This gesture would surely sooth my

body and all

I can go on living with her in my heart

and soul.
