Janie’s Epilogue….

Our Travels end. Homeless by god’s Design is our story; the autobiography of a family who received a revelation from god and by faith set out across America. Through only the confirmed leading of god, we left our business, and even though we still had monthly bills and limited funds, we set out from our home in our van conversion with just a few of our possessions, put the rest of our furniture and personal belongings in storage, and headed north just before winter. When we left, we had no idea where we were going, why we were going, or how god would provide. On god’s direction alone we left with a donated trailer full of some basic necessities and $500 cash. We returned about three years later, more humbled but wiser, more impoverished but richer, and more determined to serve the Lord at any cost. We were away from the Coast from november of 1992 until the first month of 1996.

Our faith had been deepened; we had a new level of compassion; we knew god’s mercy was fresh everyday, and we knew god could be trusted. Our confidence was in our heavenly Father. On this adventure our family learned the importance of hearing god’s voice, the importance of prayer, and never to discount any strange direction god might lead by. We were only gone from the gulf Coast for a short time, but we grew more in spiritual knowledge and wisdom as a family than we could ever have grown had we not left the comforts of home.
