Chapter 38

Mansions In Heaven

We continued to attend the Olive Branch church in Lawson. Jim and Bonnie were not members of this particular church, yet they were the ones who were helping us. Occasionally someone from our church would make a negative comment about Jim, as to whether or not he was a Christian, and I thought this was very strange as he was one of the few doing Christ’s works. Jim, I believe without doubt, will have a fine beautiful mansion in heaven, and if it is next door to mine, I know we will have a Spirit-filled blessed eternity. As our friendship grew, I discovered that Jim had a deep love for the LORD and a heart full of love for his fellow man. He had a very gentle and tender heart. And Bonnie, she’s a saint; she came to our rescue and saved our lives. They are both saints, and I am honored to have them as friends. They opened up their home to my family and shared their food. Jim invited me to go on several trips with him over the road in his 18-wheeler. He told me jokes until I was laughing so hard I was crying. He made me feel “okay” during one of the most awkward and humbling situations I have ever been in.
