Chapter 53

The Value Of Hope

Our hope in writing and publishing this book is to save lives, shed light on the error of our ways, and instruct people in the ways of God. We should be sensitive to others needing help that we might do what we can do to minister life to them, offering hope, and encouraging them as much as we possibly can. We know that many Americans may one day find themselves in horrible situations, especially considering the lawless lifestyles that are commonplace. But never forget, God is very merciful, tenderhearted, and forgiving, if we will turn to Him with all of our heart, and seek Him in sincerity and true repentance. Scriptures say, “Where sin abounds, grace will much more abound.”1 This is one of the greatest foundational scriptures that gives us hope.

What is the value of hope? Hope is the ingredient that keeps us during our darkest trials. Without hope we easily despair and lose our ability to cope. There are other scriptures in the Bible to encourage us when we feel hopeless. “And he spoke a parable to them [to this end], that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”2“Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not.”3“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward [man] is renewed day by day.”4“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”5

God is always beholding us, and the Bible, His Words to us, are full of hope. If we find ourselves desperate, we should look for someone that can give us hope. If we just look around, we can find others who have gone through trials and tribulations and survived. People who clung to hope, when they could not see any answer to their dilemma, conquered their fears, and in time, found the answers to their problems. Many of these people can be found through a church or ministry, because it was in church or through the help of a Christian friend that they found the strength and hope to hold on until their answer came.

God will always provide a solution, if we seek Him and ‘wait’ on Him to give us His answer. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you”, says the LORD, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then you shall call upon Me, and go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you, and you shall seek Me, and you shall find Me, when you shall search for Me with all your heart. And I will be found of you,” says the LORD6
