Book Description

Published to celebrate Minnesota's sesquicentennial in 2008, and financed in part with funds provided by the State of Minnesota through the Minnesota Sesquicentennial Commission's Grants Program, the Minnesota Heritage Songbook is a celebration of Minnesota's folk music and history. The book includes words and music for several dozen songs collected in Minnesota or associated with Minnesota history, plus historical background, information about the sources of each song, and illustrations of Minnesota life in the "traditional music era."
