-----While Watching a Hindi Film…-----
Back with Shoeb and Anik while in Germany, I had gone to their place for a chitchat together and had just finished dinner with them. They requested me to stay longer because they had a brand new DVD with them, carrying the movie, "Hum Tum". Well, it was already late, but all the same I couldn't deny their request. Traveling there was pretty safe, even at night with police cars patrolling every now and then. So I thought I could comply with my friends' request.
So we sat down to watch the movie, the three of us with eyes glued at the monitor screen. Yes, we were enjoying. Then came a sad part of the movie, when a guy friend, after a long time, met with the heroine and asked her where her husband was, and she replied that her husband was no more!! Tears flooded my eyes, and I was happy the two guys with me hadn't noticed yet, but eventually I was caught by Anik, "Hey Rosina!! Are you crying? Do movies make you cry? I have an aunt who always cries when sad parts of movies come up!" I blinked my eyes and said sternly, "No, I am not crying." Shoeb found the train of conversation between Anik and me humorous and started laughing, and Anik and I joined in. So from sorrow, I gradually tuned to happy thoughts, laughing and enjoying the rest of the movie.
Actually the DVD movie had some technical problem at some point, and the guys couldn't fix it, and so we couldn't watch till the very end. But nevermind that, I had forgotten all about it after a while later, and after returning to my home country, a few days later, "Hum Tum" movie appeared in an Indian TV channel. This time I watched till the end, but who can forget the laughter I shared with the guys in Germany about blinking my tearful eyes. Yes, it was a blissful moment of laughter.
