ABOUT THE AUTHOR

For Vinod Modha writing is a passion thanks to his father who taught English. Vinod now writes for children in earnest during his long stays in India. As a software development engineer, he has contributed to the development of UK digital telecommunications Systems.

Since Vinod has fourteen nieces and nephews, he loves to keep children enthralled and entertained. Also in the late eightees, he and his friend Gordon Morrow, a teacher for children with 'special needs', went round primary schools in Suffolk, England, entertaining children with Indian folk songs and tales. Children got to try out Indian Music percussion instruments like Tablas. Vinod performed regularly at the Singing Jenny Folk Club in Huddersfield as well as at several venues in Suffolk.

Together with his three brothers, (Jitendra, Rajiv and Bharat) Vinod formed a band called Kiran and they wrote many songs that they performed at various venues in West Yorkshire, Midlands and Suffolk.

Vinod wrote an award winning play in the eightees called "Dasharath's Dilemma". He also wrote a script for an award winning short film "But...", that he directed and produced. Vinod is currently editing his optioned screen play "Lord Swaminarayan".
