That would be less operatic. I don’t think you’ve reached your potential, love. You're not the tortured Jeremy Windsor Buckets.

You're poor, poor Levon. In over his head.

LEVON

Any advice for poor, poor Levon?

JUNE

Take all you hold dear and recognize it for the tether it is.

Everything in this world is too temporary to hold onto.

LEVON

Is that what you’re doing?

JUNE

I’m trying my best to relax into the gale and float off like a milkweed seed on the breeze. Who knows where I’ll land.

June and Levon climb a ladder to the roof of a cottage. It’s covered in living grasses and is home to some healthylooking chickens.

Levon sits down near the chickens and watches them peck for small bugs. June puffs on her pipe.

LEVON

Why not give the lady’s stuff away?

JUNE

Pride. She worked her whole life to distinguish herself. If she were to give these objects to the needy, the needy would be elevated above her, and her ego can't accept that. Destroying it all deliberately is an act of power. She sees it as the ultimate symbol of wealth.
