The above article as well as the image accompanying it, both of which were later removed from Wikipedia—after they were found on the internet, were widely mocked, criticised, and then deleted. But they also received a huge reaction. One of the earliest images ever taken of the map was taken in Wales, showing an unnamed woman sitting on a shelf. The local newspaper said the images were taken from a car which had been travelling by car to Wales on a private road. When asked if it was a hoax, one said: “That’s what the author of the map says. I’m not sure what’s going to happen with it.”
