INSPIRING COLOURS
Life has all shades of emotions. This pic-
ture shows two strong colours covering the
frame. Red and Black. Red is the colour of
passion and love, whereas Black is often
associated with evil. It symbolises darkness
and negativity. So, this moment actual y was
caught when I was thinking where we see
darkness and negativity in our life, there on
the other side life has also blessed us with
love..
RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS
Three brothers smiling in one frame makes
the picture perfect. The eldest brother is a step
brother of the younger ones. Their father has
married twice and both their mothers stay
together.

Story
Bikramjit Debroy
Bikram was introduced to Photography after getting the first camera Yashica MF-2 gifted by his father, on one of his birthday. Slowly he started gaining interest in this’ huge world of capturing light and colors’.
Initial y he used to shoot with a point and shoot camera. Then he joined some online photography groups. Gradual y came in contact with few talented photographer friends, who inspired him and guided him on this field. Bikram came to know that only clicking whatever looked nice to his eyes, was not only the story, in fact it’s the first step as the story book’s cover was just unveiled. There is so much to learn, explore, experiment, discover, reinvent and much more. He edited by
thought ‘ If he had a better camera, he could shoot in a better way’. That’s where he started this new journey .Bikram was Shreyak
introduced to SLR and DSLR cameras. His first SLR Camera was Nikon D3100 which later I upgraded to Nikon D7000.
Singh
He loves clicking because anything beautiful in this natural world just makes him feel to freeze them forever, if not eternal at least for as long as he lives to cherish the moment, place, and the beauty and could do this only with my camera.
He real y enjoys the challenge of doing this great job, love meeting people and travel different places.
He got the inspiration in Photography from his few Photographer friends and a few renowned masters of this passion-ate art whom he still follows and his family, though he found his own style. He is self-taught, entirely trial and error with ideas from online videos, tutorials and different magazines. What has made him look into the world photography is - Love for nature and plenty of patience ,practice and dedication. He also took part in a few exhibitions where his few photographs got sold. He has conducted few Photography workshops organized by few Photography Clubs too. Some National and Local level Magazine have given me the privilege to publish my article along with my photographs in their editions.
All he has learnt as a beginner is -’ We have to do what we love to do! We need to be honest to our passion, have full dedication in the chosen subject and to go in-details of the subject to master it truly.’ Get plenty of practice, know the camera wel , read books and magazine for tips and put all in practice. As the common saying goes ‘Practice makes a man perfect’.
He hasn’t mastered in this subject yet and this is still the beginning of his journey,” I have long way to go. Lots to learn, lots to achieve and lots to explore”. There goes a popular saying in bengali which means ‘there is no end of learning’. So there is no quenching of the thirst until and unless one is satisfied with his achievements.

How have you progressed over the years?
Haven’t been doing it for very long, but I think I’ve progressed a lot. I work hard on the little details in my photos, I try to get the lighting right as best I can with what I have and I’ll never be able to learn enough to satisfy myself. Every day I push myself to click better pictures. For me better means to get the results which I want to be.
Is being a photographer your dream job?
Sort of, I have my own freelance photography deals on the side. I would never want to make photography my main job because I think I will loose that passion and essence of it which I have for it right now.
What photography do you
specialize in (Or your favourite
thing to shoot)?
I love shooting people,
c a n d i d , landscapes,
p r o d -
ucts and
a b -
stracts. Frank-
ly speaking
I like to click
whatever I
can.
W h a t

through
your head
right be-
fore you snap a
picture?
I try to
frame the pic-
ture in such
a way that it re-
duces post process-
ing.
Most importantly I
focus on lighting and compo-
sition.
How do you think that you can improve?
If you ask for thumb rule then, “The More You Click, More You’ll Improve”. Rest, I think widening your imagination is a key to improve your photography.
Do you think you’ll be doing photography for the rest of your work-ing life (if applicable)?
I’m sure I’ll be taking photos till the time I can. I enjoy clicking it’s a hobby and hobby never leaves you.
What do you find is the easiest?
The easiest thing about photography in general is finding something to shoot. I’m always surrounded by pretty things.
How to become a Photographer?
When people ask me how they can become a photographer, I almost never mention cameras, lenses, or technique.
I say, ‘If you want to be a photographer, first leave home.’
“Go as far as you can. Become a stranger in a strange land. Acquire humility.
Leaving home real y means that the photographer has to wander, ob-serve, and to paraphrase. That is what I try to achieve in my pictures.
The more you will give time to yourself and your passion, the better you will click.
What inspires you?
What inspires me? Beauty...
Beauty of nature, beauty of God’s creation. How world is full of things and people which deserves to be clicked and mesmerized.
You’re never sure of the moment because you’re always looking and anticipating. You’re never quite sure when the moment is right, because it can either peak or evaporate. “Be Ready With Your Camera”
What makes the good picture stand out from the average?
If we look at the photographers whose work we admire, we see that they’ve found a particular place, theme, or subject, dug deep into it, and carved out something that’s become special. That takes a lot of time and a lot of work; it’s not for everyone. A great photograph real y needs to say something about a person or give some insight into their life or how their life is different than yours and mine. A good picture makes us curious and makes us want to know more.
How important is it for a photographer to “connect” with his subjects to bring out their true self?
The most important part about photographing a person is winning their trust and confidence. Being able to come up or down to one’s level to ensure a strong communication is what it takes to honestly connect with a person. Even with subjects other than people, a photographer needs to understand what he will going to click. Imagination of subject in the best composition is very important.

You’re getting viral on internet day by day tell us something about your audience.
I have a nice fan following from Facebook, more than 8000 people have liked my Facebook photography page(The Revolution Photography).

If not a photographer i would have lost my path till now. Photography is what gave me peace of mind and showed my path ways for architecture.

Earlier i was using PhotoScape when i was a beginner as work went suc-cessful, I also learnt Photoshop meanwhile and now i am very good at post processing pictures. I use corel daw to get vibrant filters, ,HDR for landscapes and lightroom for the final touch.
Finally, any advice for aspiring photographers?
Choose your right intrest in photography line, be it fashion wildlife or wedding. Develop your clicking skil s, check your audience and accord-ingly get into one stream to get personified.

INTERVIEW
When you go one of your travels? What all you take
with you? Why?
I definitely make sure I carry my camera with me. If it’s a scenic place then I need a wide angle and my 50mm is always with me. I need my camera because I love capturing different places and the memories they hold. Some exotic locations are so beautiful that reliving them through pictures is absolutely worth it.
Among the gadgets that you own, is there some-
thing that you wish you hadn’t bought? Why?
Wel , as an amatuer I did purchase a few lenses like 18 – 135 and 70 –
300 which now is of no use and I wished I had saved up for better lenses.
What kind of tools do you use for post processing?
Explain your work flow.
Well I use Photoshop Cs6. My post processing depends on the type of picture. Some shots don’t need post at al , but some shots like close ups
– or fashion shots require re-touching, but other than that I like some of my pictures to have an artsy feel to it. So I think about the type of picture I would like to show and then seach for a varitey of textures, or png’s or bruches or anything to make my picture look a little different.
How do you educate yourself to take better pictures?
Well at the moment I study photography, and thus it helps me a lot. But otherwise I look at other peoples work and try to strive to that level. Inspiration always helps!
ROSHINI KUMAR
INTERVIEW
Whose work has influenced you most?
Personal y I love david la chappelle. His work is a mix of fashion, art, technique and pure genius. Love his concepts as well and his thought process but his skill is also remarkable and somethng that I real t wish to achieve!
What inspires you?
Art is what inspires me. New concepts, new ideas, I love exploring and experimenting with creativity and artists and general art as well real y inspires me~
How do you feel when taking an amazing photos?
Sometimes while doing a shoot or just clicking pictures you just know its going to turn out amazing and that feeling is just so fullfilling and content. Even after a tiring shoot I, if I think Ive taken some good shots then I cannot sleep without reviewing them or doing some post procsseing.
Any advise for aspiring photographers?
Well I would just say getting fancy equipment is not important as I con-stantly keep seeing people buy equipment first, but it’s important that the photographer can be able to master good pictures with any type of equipment.
