James grew up in mostly poor, minority inner-city neighborhoods under the hard work and leadership of a blue collar father. He learned that (1) life is ultimately whatever you make it out to be and (2) that our past does not control our future.
He learned to lean on faith and family to capitalize on life’s opportunities and has since sold over $210 million dollars in sales, consulted more than 500 C-Level executives, and held leadership roles for both successful, Silicon Valley start- ups gone IPO and Fortune 10 companies. James was rated as a “Blue-chip” (top 2% of employee talent) recruit for a Fortune10 and has been a thought leader and public speaker on topics from leadership, corporate strategy, mobile technology, and morals and values.
James Smiley has been married for eleven years to his beautiful wife Lisa. They have four children – Zeke (7), Penny (2), Troy (1), and one on the way due in Jan 2016. The Smiley family live in Dallas, TX. James also played some college football and is a former professional bass fisherman.
