I’M NOT ALONE!

Over the next 3 days of the event, there were several presenters and experts in their own right. Virtually everyone of them have their own products they have developed.

There had to be at least 200 people, like me in the room. Most everyone was newer and not yet making sustainable income. The most amazing thing was, everyone I met was really motivated!

My background in the restaurant business started to come out. One of the transferrable skills I possess is being approachable. Better yet, I have no problem approaching others.

This was something I forgot about that is so valuable.

I’m a bit of a music buff. I love all kinds of genres. One of my favorites is Kid Rock. He has this quote inside his CD’s that says…

IF IT LOOKS GOOD, YOU’LL SEE IT. IF IT SOUNDS GOOD, YOU’LL HEAR IT. IF IT’S MARKETED RIGHT, YOU’LL BUY IT. BUT…IF IT’S REAL, YOU’LL FEEL IT.

Those words couldn’t be truer when it comes to this business.

After the event, when I was at the airport, I had time to reflect on where I’ve been, where I am now, and where I want to be. My head was spinning. Luckily, I had a notepad. I started writing my thoughts down, though randomly.

The first thing I did, I wrote down everyone’s name I could remember meeting from memory.

Within just a few minutes-I had 47 names written down! Later, I came up with numerous others, but I had met so many people, initially I couldn’t count. One other important point…

I LIKED EVERYONE I MET!

Just another music fact…

Eminem sold more records in the new millennium than any other rap artist out there. Yet, for 2010 he wasn’t the highest in earnings! He wasn’t even in the top 10. He was tied for 14th! He still made $8 million in 1 year though.
The top earning rap artist for 2010 was…Jay-Z! He made a measly $63 million. Not bad for a years work.

Why does it even matter? Something I learned while at the live event…
