When I worked in the restaurant business, I hired several people, both hourly and entry level positions. I also promoted many as well.
The reason I am sharing this-Most of the people I hired hadno prior restaurant experience!
I believed that because of this, they had not formed any bad habits that I had to break them from. Most people possess transferrable skills that allow them to adapt to any new situation they put themselves in.
I have a strong business background which has been and will always be with me for the rest of my life. I have transferrable skills that has helped me be successful in this virtual world of the internet.
But somehow, with all this experience, in the beginning of learning about the internet, I created very bad habits that had hindered my growth and severely impacted my self confidence.
My absolute biggest mistake…I was getting bombarded with emails everyday. I was trying to see what the best new thing would be and to keep up with the ever changing internet.
