Something else I would strongly advise is to make list building a priority. A lot of affiliate marketing courses teach to send visitors directly to the merchant site. Listen to them and it will cost you money. You always want to try to capture the name and email address first. Why? Because that's how your business will be built. Think of it as a bank account of leads that you can make periodic withdrawals of cash from. This is your base, your foundation. You wouldn't build a house without a foundation, right? Earlier I mentioned the leverage that a list can provide. It really is a huge asset. Done properly, you can get to the point that one well written message can make you thousands of dollars in one mailing. You'll also have others beating down your doors wanting to joint venture with you. But you have to build a good solid list(s) first. What I'm driving at is, you can do a lot of things wrong, and still wind up fine if you build your list as you go. Mistakes can be corrected, but you do not want to put off your list building efforts. If you wait, you simply won't grow your business as quickly and efficiently as you should be.
