Chapter 39

“She’s doin’ a right, right, right into Tesco’s.” Soapy swung the unmarked pool car after her.

Three days they’d followed her and all Sharon Fenton appeared to do was visit the gym, her hairdresser and shop like it was going out of fashion soon.

“Trigger ... She’s parked and out of the vehicle. Now walking to the entrance.”

“Foetus .... on foot. I’ve got the eyeball.”

Mike Patterson slipped his seat belt off as Gandalph cut the engine. “There she goes. What on earth does she do with it all? You’d think she’s prepping for Armageddon!” Suddenly, something caught his attention. “Hang on! They’re DSU!” Gandalph looked at him questioningly.

“Them two over there. See! And that’s Bernadette!” He grabbed his radio.

“Chevron to Foetus.  Make back to your car.”

“Foetus... It’s ok. I’ve got this.”

“No, Roy. Make back to your car. The DSU are on it. The buckess in front of you is one of them and coming up behind you is another. Let ‘em have it while I speak to someone. This is the crew that are on Darius McAvoy.”

The DS got out of the vehicle. “I’ll be back shortly.”

Two minutes later he plonked himself back in the passenger seat. “Sorted. It’s them.  McAvoy went in just as we got here. Him and Sharon are sat in the cafe; deep conversation with a bit of touchy-feely. They’ve got it boxed and I’m on their channel so we’ll get a heads up when there’s any movement. When the targets leave, we go our separate ways. Meanwhile, I’ll call the Boss and let him know.”
