The first step towards dumping your boss and achieving financial freedom is to decide you want it. It is not enough to say, “I want to be rich.” Instead, you need to define why achieving financial success is important to you.

Here are a few reasons I pursue the entrepreneurial lifestyle:

·       Freedom from controlling bosses.

·       Control over my own destiny.

·       Pride in succeeding by my own wits, energy, talent, and skills.

·       Financial security for my family

How to Be an Entrepreneur Step 2

Once you have identified a strong set of reasons why you want to dump your boss and achieve financial freedom, you need to decide how you will do it.

We live in an age where the home office has a global reach, thanks to the Internet and cell phone technology. We also live in a time where the entrepreneurial spirit is regaining its foothold around the world. Now, you can use both technology and the human desire to succeed to start and build a profitable home business.

Forget signing up for a huge business loan, looking the Small Business Administration or Chamber of Commerce for ideas. Instead, start a home business on a shoestring, marketing a real product that adds value to its consumer’s lives, and one that offers a true opportunity to make a wealth creating monthly residual income.

When you commit yourself to the home business industry and lock yourself into a legitimate opportunity, you are halfway home.

How to Be an Entrepreneur Step 3

If you have decided to pursue the home business route to success, it is important that you recognize how demographic, technological, and marketing trends may impact your business or industry choice. Here are four trends that are dramatically influencing the marketplace today:

Thousands of baby boomers are retiring everyday, making any product or opportunity that recognizes the needs and interests of retirees a potentially profitable venture.

The Internet has become widely accepted as a trusted source for products and services. If you market online, you have instant access to over 1 billion Internet users worldwide.

We are obsessed with health and are trying to live greener, healthier lifestyles. If you market a health oriented product, you have a huge market waiting to learn about your products and opportunity.

Finally, the home business industry is growing exponentially. People have learned that a home business can be a legitimate way to make money, and a trusted source for products and services.

How to Be an Entrepreneur Step 4

Okay, if you’ve gotten this far, you’re probably serious about creating wealth and learning how to make money outside the traditional J-O-B (just over broke) environment.

But before you jump into a business or investment opportunity, I want you to think about what the perfect opportunity would be for you. Here are a few questions you need to ask yourself:

·       Is this is a business I could build?

·       Are people making money in this business?

·       Is this opportunity legitimate? Does it market a real product?

·       Is the product something I would use myself?

·       Would I be proud to share this product or opportunity with my family and friends?

·       Can I afford to join and build this business?

·       Can I afford not to join and build this business?

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, you need to commit yourself to learning how to be a professional business builder. There are lot of things to learn in this industry, and if you cannot motivate yourself to learn new skills, such as how to market your business, how to train your team members, and how to create and implement control systems to automate your business, than you may be better off sticking with your day job.

Successful entrepreneurs are driven by the urge to learn more about business, marketing, and opportunities.

The process of building wealth is not for the faint of heart, or wishful thinkers. To achieve financial success, you must devote yourself to finding ways to legally and ethically increase your income and using that extra income to make wise investments that create a positive cash flow.
