Now I am going to share with you a nifty little trick to post backlinks to your new website all over the web with literally one little click. After working so hard on getting your site up this should be a nice relaxing (sort of) lesson and a great treat to have all this free publicity!
In order to get a dozen backlinks every time you post, you need a dozen accounts to post to. This will be a bit time consuming, but not too difficult. And when it’s done you will have invaluable, free backlinks to your website that will help your traffic, your web presence and your Google ratings. So, let’s get started! Below I have listed several links to the networking sites I recommend you use for the tool I will be showing you. There are other sites that are compatible, but not all of them will be applicable to every business. The ones I have suggested are great to use no matter what the website you’re promoting is. Simply click on all the links to set up your accounts (NOTE: You will be using Twitter as well but you should have already set that up!)

Now this is the awesome part. You are about to get a powerful networking tool called Posterous. It’s a FREE and EASY way to update all of your networking accounts with just the click of a button. How Posterous works is this: You write a post to put on your main website. You email Posterous with a blurb from that post and a link back to your main site. Posterous will then automatically post to all of the accounts you have linked to it with whatever you sent in your email.
So instead of posting new updates to a dozen different websites, you only have to manage one. Automating your tasks is a key element in creating financial freedom. No one joins this business to be chained to their computer twelve hours a day working – that is the exact opposite of freedom! It’s little tricks like these that will give you the time and ability to be successful. Go HERE to set up your Posterous account now.
Alright, now that you have everything in place, let’s set up your account so that you can post to all of your new social media sites with an easy-to-use automated system. In your Posterous account, on the left-hand side of the screen there will be an Autopost tab; click on it. On the next page you will want to click on “Make Changes” and then there will be a big green button that says “Add a Service”.
When you click on that button, Posterous will pull up all of its available services. Click on the account you want to add, fill in the information it asks for and Voila! You’re done. Remember, you want to add all of the above social media sites AND Twitter.I would not recommend you post these updates to LinkedIn or Facebook, unless you have a Facebook Page in which case that would be a good forum to post. (If you don’t have a Facebook Page don’t worry about it, we will be setting that up soon enough!) After adding your services you should be ready to go.
Now whenever you post something to your main website simply send an email to post@posterous.com and it will be automatically posted to all of the services you added. Normally I will just send an email with a short paragraph and a link referring people to my site if they want to read more. If you attach a picture to your email Posterous will also put that in any of your services where it is applicable. I recommend doing that as well!
This is the last step for this section! We are now going to set up your Multiply account. Go HERE to create an account. Once you have done that you will want to log in and go to “My Account” on the very top right hand of the screen. It will take you to a page with several options; click on posting options.
Scroll down and click on the “Insert Journal Entries” link. Select Blogger, enter your username and password and save the option. Now what will happen is Posterous will post to Blogger and Blogger will automatically update Multiply so you have one more place where you are getting backlinks from without having to think about it.
And that’s all there is to it! Remember not to be neglecting your LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook accounts. You should be signing in to these accounts every day and posting something, connecting with people, or updating your profile. Neglected accounts reflect badly on you and also make it unlikely for anyone to want to connect. This is the exact opposite of what we want to happen.
With the networking sites we just set up, however, you will be updating each time you post to your website, so you don’t have to manage those nearly as often. I will save the rest of the website secrets for the next section when I teach you how to optimize your blog for top search engine performance. This will be essential to making all your hard work pay off!
