DAD DESERVES APPRECIATION

Clarence Buddington wrote; Henry James once define life as that predicament which precedes death and certainly nobody owes you a debt of honor or gratitude for getting him into that predicament. But a child owes his father a debt if dad having gotten him to this peek of trouble takes off his coat and buckles down to the job of showing his son how to cross through it.

When your dad was little, he learnt how to show appreciation for any good deed done to him. Grand dad taught him that the ability to show appreciation adds more value to a gift however little that gift is. Your dad opened his eyes to the benefit of showing appreciation. Dad enjoyed this and he wants you to learn this art too

Very great persons are always appreciative. God the owner of our life expects us to appreciation for his goodness and mercies. It was this reason that made David write the psalms and songs to show forth his appreciation for God. David ended up great. Solomon his son followed suit with his “songs of Solomon”. It is no gainsay that Solomon became as great as he was.

Dad wants you to surpass him and one virtue required to achieve this is showing appreciation. Dad knows that a child that does not show appreciation is bound to fail. Being appreciative shows the extent of humility. Humility is an important virtue that every child has to develop inside him or herself. It is the quality of humility that makes one say thank you however little the deed.

Success is achieved when there is satisfaction on all sides. Dad, mom, guardians and all other well-wishers would be joyful and glad knowing that they were part of the success story called “you”. And they would like to do more whenever they are opportune or called upon to do so. You achieved the much you’ve achieved because of dad’s many sacrifices interacting with other persons and perseverance. Dad believes in you. Kids who don’t show appreciation always most of the time end up discontent. This set of persons would usually finish as criminals, rogues and robbers. Dad wants you to build the virtue of contentment however unsatisfied with life you are.

However little is given to you, courtesy demands you appreciate. Words like "thank you" can do so much more. As you begin the journey towards success, realize that the success you desire can only be achieved by developing the virtue of showing appreciation.
