Lactation Provocation

This subject may seem to be frivolous;

as a matter of fact, it is not.

I'm really being quite serious

for it feels like we're losing the plot.

I speak of the odd attitudes of late

to the human production of milk.

It seems that it's fine for our cows to lactate

and a few other beasts of that ilk

But women are shunned when producing

their offspring's natural food.

Menfolk now, I'm deducing,

are a very peculiar brood.

They love to ogle a naked breast

but try feeding a child and watch out!

Those lactating breasts are regarded as pests

as some strange moral feelings we flout.

It would seem that they're something unseemly

to your average modern male;

breasts, when in use, are extremely

- well - somewhere beyond the pale.

And the weird attitude some exhibit

to drinking the stuff is absurd.

What exactly is there to prohibit?

It's the craziest notion I've heard.

Why on earth do you men think we make it?

It's the finest thing going by far.

If we haven't enough we must fake it

so why shun such a fine reservoir?

If it's good enough for babies to drink

do you think it would poison you?

Or is it some mother-hate thing, do you think?

Please, tell me your point of view.

I challenge these strange aberrations.

Please tell me what strikes you as wrong.

Explain your repugnant sensations!

Why are your reactions so strong?
