When is Enough, Enough?

In North America we have more than most people in the world…and we still think just a little more is what it will take to make us happy.
We are willing to sacrifice any opportunity in an effort to achieve an extra measure of comfort, yet we remain restless, wondering at our lack of progress.
We have access to an entire world of knowledge, yet we spend our time listening to the people that agree with our uninformed views.
Maybe we need a purpose beyond ourselves, not more entertainment.
Maybe we need the hard work of relationship and community more than yet another weekend of seminars that will change nothing.
Maybe learning to let go is the price for fulfillment.
Maybe becoming content with what we are given is the price we must pay for peace.
Maybe leaving behind our comfort zone will create more character growth and learning than the endless pursuit of comfort ever will.
In a world where conflict is normal maybe learning to love will be the start of the revolution.
When we ourselves become strong enough to admit that we need to change, maybe we can finally fulfill the purposes of heaven.
Then again, we can just keep things the same…it’s easier…

Quote of the Day. “Everythins relative,” says the politician hirin cousins. Which makes’em the relative, relative, but I guess that’s relative.
