Lolita Revisited

Summer rain
soaking through the
cotton dress,
revealing
each and
every
youthful curve. I watched, curtains slightly drawn
and
stole them,
for other days,
other
lonely nights
as she danced
through the
sun kissed
rain,
each drop,
a gentle kiss,
replacing mine. Dancing with
her,
my hand,
the
breeze that
caressed
the hidden lips where innocence stops.

Her tender
body surrendering to the woman
she no longer
denied.

Smiling
an instant,
within this
shadowed room, where, as in
prayer, head
bowed,
a mirror,
reflected the
silent
scream
of
another
time
scarred
reality.
