Of faith, hope, & love, to sad or happy
Yes a poet sometimes cry
But often they ride with the tide
Of Life…
A poet does not hide
Who and what they are
Shining and creative stars
Reaching out to the world
As their thoughts often twirl
In a frenzy while looking for a blessing
Many times they reach for strength from the heavens
As angels hear their empowering voices
New poets learn that they too can make empowering choices
To write from the heart
Make a brand new start
They believe in the freedom of speech
Cherish their creativity
With pen in hand
They try to help others understand
The importance of reaching out to touch souls
To walk in humility and when needed to be a little bold
For those who would scold
The poet dares to let go
The grace of God will show
How they can make miracles happen
From fallen tears to begin laughing
With blessings galore
Show others how to soar
Portraying love and peace upon the shores
Making connections with love and affection
Sharing with others with no hesitation
The spirit is lifted up to higher ground
For the poet was once lost but now is found
