Lilacs
Lilacs are eloquently blooming in the spring
The thought of death hurts like a bee sting
Feelings of loss and despair
Pain grips at ones being, and while their crippled with fear
Lilacs colorful beauty bring on some cheer
The stars up above twinkle, as messages are sent
Surviving child abuse with a strong intent
There’s no more blame just empathy
With a full heart of love and sympathy
I forgive you now
Jesus prepares your home in Heaven
They have come now to take your life away
Lilacs have fallen dead to the ground, on a hot summer’s day
The dark sky is flooded with tears in the clouds
There’s nowhere to fit in this world, besides the lost and found
Lilacs on the table look strange in summer’s heat
Today they told me, you were among the deceased
A heart momentarily stopped ticking
I prayed to God in Heaven
Emotions froze upon spring’s royalty cloud
The moon wept as angels came out
A grief-stricken soul was put into a wooden box
Where loved ones dared not to unlock
Lilacs sweet scent seeped into mid air
The birds chirped during the middle of the night, to let me know your still here
As the Grace of God took you safely away
I felt like an orphan for a day
Then when I felt your love so deep within my heart, I knew your spirit would always stay
I love you mom
Always and Forever,
Donna Marie
