For Such A Time As This

When we start our journey through life it seems we spend an enormous amount of time wondering and worrying. We spend some time trusting; a little time praying and learning to lean. We wonder why God allows certain things in life to transpire.

Only in retrospect -

We see that tumultuous and tragic situation that God guided us around when we were worrying about the rain. When we thought that life had reached the pinnacle of difficulty He was teaching us to trust.

Only in retrospect -

We realized that he continued to try us in the fire so that our life of overcoming would be a witness of His faithfulness while we lived and even after living would cease on earth.

Only in retrospect -

We see the blessing of a family member, or a stranger who became a friend. There was someone who provided a smile, a hug, a word of reassurance, a silent prayer on our behalf.

That person who God gave to us premature the tough times to help us through.

Only in retrospect -

We see the fortress God has built around us for protection; and, when we look closely we see that He used the rocks that had been thrown, the hills we couldn’t climb, the mountains we thought we couldn’t cross - as bridges over our troubled waters.

Only in retrospect -

We know that every situation, every trial, every blessing has been used by God. Only now do we realize that He has been preparing us. He has been recreating His perfect companion to come home and live with Him forever.

Now-

As we approach the foot of what seems like a situation unconquerable we are certain that prayer and trust works better than wondering and worrying.

Now -

We are certain that there is safety in leaning on God for He is always faithful. Now we know He has prepared us For Such A Time As This.
