Someplace in Africa men hold hands, a tradition others may not understand.
Here in our land our boys are postured for violence, filled with hate; and, we pass them by only expressing our distaste.
We surrender in silence the lives of each child.
We’re not helping our boys survive.
Could it be the blueprint for becoming a man is to teach boys to walk hand in hand?
The fingers enlaced as a symbol of strength giving confidence in body and new breath.
Becoming a man doesn’t happen by chance we have to teach our boys to take a stand.
Who will adopt this nations plan?
Of helping a boy by holding his hand?
