I wonder what Mickey and Minnie Mouse
Are up to tonight.
Are they dodging cats,
Or are they munching
On some tasty cheese morsels?
Maybe they’re talking
On the mousephone
To Bugs Bunny or Donald Duck.
Maybe they’re playing mousetrap
With Sylvester and Tweety Bird.
Maybe their listening
To sesame street songs
And dancing in the dark
On little mouse feet
Trading little mouse kisses
In some hole in the wall.
They might even just be sitting silently
Twiddling their paws
Or twitching their whiskers.
Whatever they are doing right now
Has to be more interesting
And far more satisfying
Than what I’m doing right now,
Which is,
Wondering what they’re doing.
