FORGIVE ME, MY LOVE

My love, do not get angry

when I shout

like a child,

it’s simply that

I am a child

who never played,

who never grew up.

I don’t say this to justify

my bad behavior,

but simply

to say

that I love you,

or simply

ask for forgiveness.

Let me keep thinking

about my political poems,

about my love poems,

about my philosophical poems,

about my poems of dreams,

or about everything that I’d like to write

for you, beloved woman.

Let the poet shout

and write his poetry,

which is a sprig of bread,

it is a drop of water in the desert,

it is bread and water for everyone,

it is the inspiration of the soul

for you, ladies of love.
