DAYDREAM

Today my daydreams ebbed and flowed round you Like gentle waters lapping on the sand
Of virgin beaches in some far-off land
Of gold and green and silent misty blue.
Or on a planet bathed in warm sunshine,
A world where only angels’ feet have trod, Through forests green I sped on wings of love In search of you, and found, and made you mine. This world makes me so weary I could die And let my soul speed forth to meet your own, And find with you an Eden for our home, And make all things anew. Ah, shall we try?
