JABIRU DANCING

He flirts with death on the lily pads,
Playing a game with a crocodile,
Stepping from pad to pad the while
The monster darts, and he seems to laugh As he steps away. With the speed of light He steps out of the reach of the creature. One day he may fall prey to dread jaws And grim claws, but for now he dances away.
