WOE TO ME

I am parched and thirsty

I can’t even breathe.

There are sores on my stomach

And I can’t even see-

I need to drink from

The cup of eternity-

I long for heavenly breath

I long for eyes to see-

Where would I be without you?

My spirit, a complete mess.

Loneliness and despair,

My soul can attest.
