THE MEANING OF MADNESS

Stuttering stanzas, muttering mouth

My prayers never cease, yet I’m running scared.

My stomach begs for deliverance

Nobody hears wails from the abyss.

I try to put together some semblance

I am careful not to defile the throne.

My deeds are filthy, my rags are just as bad.

My mind rages with lunacy,

Thoughts trailing off in obscurity.

Dance, my feet glide ever so elegantly.

The audience claps with vigor,

So often they applaud me.

Thank you for this madness, my friend!

Finally, somebody understands.

Thank you for this madness-

It seems rather irrelevant in the end.
