4.6 - Getting Away With Murder

I didn't want to kill her.

I never got a choice.

I need the reputation,

Become «one of the boys»

She was the perfect victim.

So innocent, so down.

A solitary stranger.

A long way out of town.

A suicide? A hanging?

Strangled to death? That's good.

A kill to fill the papers,

With violence and blood.

An accident, and fatal.

A berserk mince machine,

Or falling through a mirror

With cut-throat glass. Obscene!

A serious serial killer

Leaves DNA in place,

A steak knife in her liver,

And clues to solve the case.

Red-handed or confession,

Each killer pays in time.

Who gets away with murder?

A writer, selling crime.
