I’m Sure There’s Only a Place
I’m sure that I saw a place
The escalating echo of the siren
Wakes me up
From an eternal nap
I open my eyes
And the world lying before me
What I felt
Was a close call to death
It didn’t claim me
But I claimed it AS MY OWN
My own that I could
USE AS MY OWN WILL
NOW AND FOREVER
FOR MYSELF,
THIS IS WHAT I HAD ALWAYS
TRIED TO SEEK
IT PAID OFF
And now, I am willing to see
The gravity and weight
That became of my mistakes
They taunted me,
So I overcame them
Now, I’m laughing in their ugly,
Disgustingly perverted faces
