Island World

In the world

Of islands

You should let

Sleeping residents

Lie....

In this world,

Anything you dream

Is possible

If you can

Set foot on

The lush terrain

Then you can see

Why it’s

A paradise

For many

The ocean in

Front of it

Glows

And is brightened

Its depths

Revealing fish and aquatic life

Its depths

Revealing

What you want

To swim in

And become a

Part of....

The island dances

Over the blinding sun

The ocean

Is a mirror

We almost feel like

A part of it

Is the door to heaven

Opening

For us....?

Can we walk through?

Can we go through?

Can we leave this island behind?

Why would we want to?

We are a family

A family

Of friends

We bounce

Together

In this paradise

Surrounded by nothing

As the waves

Hit us....

We don’t want

To leave

We descend into the water

And become

One with the ocean

As the island disappears from view

And leaves us behind

We head back

Through heaven’s door

Before the watery waves and blowing wind

Slowly

Wash it away....
