Life
I splattered color on the sky,
and it came down in waves.
I failed to swim among the trails of the rainbow,
but the colors swam through me.
There, I saw the green of youth fading to grey,
and my eyes turned blue, for blood had turned black,
and I cried a whiteness beyond chastity,
and the night had never seemed so colorless.
Yellow were the stars, but they shone brown,
and the planets had reached extinction…
I had never known, out of all the things I knew…
I’d never known that I was dead.
