Cornered disbelief
The Earth span sacrilegiously,
and its angles were cast upon hatred...
This sphere that evokes permanence
crashes
down
on
Me.
Where are you God?
Where are you Devil?
Meet me in the middle,
tonight.
So they met me within,
and they brought candles and matches
that we sparked up and hid in the trees.
We journeyed across valleys and mountains,
keeping track of the lights we had planted.
God smiled, but the Devil, dejected,
blew out the stars.
Then he wept.
I mused,’it must pain you
to be thought of as monstrous...’
God wept too, then He spoke,
‘yes, it does.’
