There are many speakings,
but only one which is true.
It is urgent,
ignorant of its own message.
SECOND SPEAKING
Some men live alone.
At night, when they wake,
they hold themselves
until they disappear.
Some men live with other men.
Sometimes, when they look in the mirror
they can see the face of the other one
moving back and forth beneath their own.
Some men live with women.
The women slowly absorb them
leaving only a shell that is brittle,
and glitters. The shell can do anything.
Sometimes, it gets up at night
and looks for itself.
