The Tennis Player

By five in the morning I am awake,

Put on my sports clothes and go for a jog,

At the park I run around a clear lake,

Then back home I surge through the morning fog.

Put on my sports clothes and go for a jog,

My coach then calls me at seven a.m.

Then back home I surge through the morning fog,

My passion gets me like leafs on a stem.

My coach then calls me at seven a.m.

He soon takes me off for a morning swim,

My passion gets me like leafs on a stem,

For he makes me work to the morning brim.

He soon takes me off for a morning swim,

That's what it takes to play tennis so great,

For he makes me work to the morning brim,

Working real hard till the tournament date.

That's what it takes to play tennis so great,

At the park I run around a clear lake,

Working real hard till the tournament date,

By five in the morning I am awake.
