Fire Tree
Here I sit all red am I,
Like a fire among green,
I am a lone fire tree,
In a patch of green leaves.
My Leaves are red,
My trunk is black,
Trees of green and brown,
Surround me all around.
I am a misfit,
Among the others,
But I love what I am,
Even if I be named a fire tree.
