PHOENIX-LIONESS

You brought me here

Freedom sang a song in my heart

Peacefulness walked into my life

We lived in a fairy castle

Rich was I, because I had your love

or so I thought

You decided to dream without me

Your gentle morning words became a raven's onslaught

You went on the evil highway

Skeletons with cheater's eyes winked at you

You gave our beautiful dream away for a dollar

Midnight chatting was your mistress

Then came that winter's tale on a bright summer's day

your voice was covered with snow

you walked on a bridge with no return

I return to the sea without hope

Days and nights merged together

My tears formed rivers on my cheeks

Pain symphonies played havoc in my heart

Eternal heartbreak blind-sided me for a century

Now, a half-century later I'm starting to soar

Like an ancient phoenix I'm slowly opening my wings

My friends are the breath beneath my heart

Their sunlight-eyes give me my global-shine

No more will I be a heartbreak-clown for you

From now on I shall be a phoenix-lioness
