Knots are an important skill you need to know when you are on a boat. There are different types of knots for whatever task you are carrying out. There are three categories into which knots are segregated into. The first group are the knots which are tied on the end of a line, these are generally called “knots”, the second group consists of those that are used to join two lines together and usually have the word “bend” in their name, and the last group is called “hitches” which are used to secure a line to a piling or to a cleat. The key to mastering a knot is practicing. Here you will be able to encounter seven essential knots that are generally used.
