The World vs Christianity

(January 2, 2014)

The world says:

Ya but, you know what, it doesn’t matter.

I just want to be me.

I want to be accepted the way I am.

I want to find myself.

Paul to the Romans:

Romans 1:25

For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever.

Paul to Timothy:

2 Timothy 3:1, 2 and 5

BUT realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, … holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power

Christ says:

Matthew 5:17 to 19

Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. 18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the Law, until all is accomplished. 19 Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and so teaches others, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Paul says:

2 Timothy 3:13 to 17

But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them; 15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

Jesus says:

Matthew 15:7 to 9

7 You hypocrites, rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,

8 This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far away from me.

9 But in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.
