Notes of my testimony/resources:
Scripture:
“Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.” 1Timothy 5:1-2 KJV
This verse contains a lot in it. But the convicting part for me is where it says, “Treat . . . older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.” I know that I do not always treat my mother and sister the right way and you probably don’t either, but the point I want to make is: are we not only treating women, younger or older, as we would our family; but in the right way?
Samson – a lady problem (Complete story in Judges 13-16) Read: Judges 13 in class.—SO COOL, I JUST HAD TO INCLUDE IT!
“His sun; his service; there the second time.”—Hitchcock's Dictionary of Bible Names
Samson was like the strongest guy ever, and yet he had weaknesses. One was his hair, but another was women. . . . The “women” that you are “interested in”—and around!—will either help to build you up or to tear you down. Eve was created to help Adam, not just to be his wife. Think about it.
Your notes on the subject:
You will only be a man once you love others like Christ does. This includes treating women (of all ages, whether relatives or not) with respect.

Singleness vs. Marriage – Trust God and don’t Sin by Worrying about It
“Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.” ~ Titus 2:6-8 KJV
“He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.” ~ Matthew 19:8-12 KJV
