There are multitudes of allegories throughout the Old Testament regarding our Lord Jesus Christ. ALL the allegories regarding Jesus Christ also are allegories regarding the Church because the Church is the body of Christ. The Apostle Paul mentions that the Exodus 17:6 allegorical Rock is a reference to Christ: “for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ” in I Cor. 10:4. Our Lord Jesus mentions the manna in Exodus 16:15 and says: “For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world” referring to Himself.
