FATHER

Dear God,

I know we haven’t spoken or talked in a while;

I’m coming to you now in hope to walk a better mile.

I’ve made a lot of mistakes and turned my back on you;

Please listen heavenly father, I promise I can be true.

I want a different life and to change my old selfish ways;

So help me Father, I’m praying for better days.

I have four precious children and it gets hard to make a way;

We deserve to live in peace, and I need to teach them how to pray.

So give me another chance to get my life right;

I’m coming to you for forgiveness, as I pray every night.

I know you a God of understanding, hope and love;

Just watch me Father, as this ugly duckling turns into a dove.

I want to show you, how much your child really loves you;

I want to show you Father, how much I appreciate the things you do.

I know I’ve said this before but please hear me as I pray;

Help me show the devil that I have no more sins to pay.

I don’t want to be in sorrow or live in anyone’s cell;

I want to go to heaven because the odds are bet on hell.
