Love, Friendship, Fellowship

The first quarter (January, February, and March) topics are all interrelated in that they discuss the theme of Love, Friendship and Fellowship.

I like to think of them in that order:

Love being the basis of all of our interactions with God and other members of the body of Christ. For the two great commandments are Love the Lord with all of our heart, mind and soul and the second Love our neighbors as ourselves.

Friendship is the next step in the development of a true relationship with God and others. Friendship is most often between two people and is long endearing only if there is true love between the friends. We are challenged to become friends of God as Abraham was a friend of God.

Fellowship is the next level and is usually a relationship between many individuals such as the Church body. I like to thank of fellowship as a group of friends whose basis for interactions is love.

The “daily” lessons in this quarter address the thoughts around the development of true love, friendship, and fellowship with God and other believers.
