Important

If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith also is in vain. (1Co 15:14) WEBA

The word is preaching ke¯rugma; a proclamation especially or specifically of the gospel.

What is preached?

(Rom 16:25)  Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

(1Co 1:18)  For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

(1Co 1:23)  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

Not all that is preached is actually ‘preaching’. Preaching becomes preaching only when the content and context of the message is Christ. Preaching is specific. Any preaching that is not the preaching of Christ’ resurrection is a fantasy

Christ is the fundamental message of the whole Bible. Christ is the beginning, Christ is the centre, and Christ is the end.

The writer of Psalms records, ‘’Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me.” (Psa 40:7)

The volume of the book has one intent; to testify Christ Jesus. From Genesis to Revelation, the message is Christ Jesus.

Therefore, preaching is simply an act of reporting or telling others about the death, burial and resurrection of Christ Jesus who took the sin of the world to the cross and faced death in order to save humanity from sin and death.
