WHICH

DO YOU FEEL WILL SERVE YOU BEST THROUGHOUT YOUR EXISTENCE, BITTERNESS --- OR --- STRENGTH

TIME
GOD HAS TIME FOR YOU

All the time you need
"The most obvious question is"
If GOD
is all powerful,
why does GOD not just snapGOD’S fingers

and make us perfect ?
Why do we have to go through life's lessons ? Why do we spend thousands of lifetimes gaining the experience and understanding ?

At
some point
in the future.

We may evolve the capacity
to understand this question fully It is complicated, and hard to put into words The best I can understand is,
It has to do with TIME
Our perception of TIME
HUMANITY sees life in terms of days and years. GOD sees life eternal
From the moment of our creation, to the point, we reach a state of grace, could take an unimaginable amount of time. To God,
this is the snap of a finger

THERE BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD GO I

A junkie is begging for change
He approaches a person on the street This person is a little startled at first but, then feels sad at theman’s situation. This person then gives the man some spare change , and continues on their way.

The junkie approaches a second person This person is angered
curses the man, and tells him to get a job. There is an old saying
"There but for the grace of God go I". In truth, this saying should be :
" THERE I HAVE GONE "
OR
" THERE I HAVE YET TO GO " The first person in this story,

has lived in a similar circumstance, at some point in their existence.
They feel empathy,
though they do not know why
The second person,
has yet to walk this path, or they gained nothing from it in which case they are bound to repeat it They cannot understand
how a person could live such a life. They are left only with distain.

" ONLY THROUGH PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE " CAN WE GAIN TRUE UNDERSTANDING

PRAYER

Prayer is the simplest act of opening your mind to God "I never talked to God, until I stopped talking to God"

As soon as I could talk, I was taught to pray. As a child, I prayed for all manner of things. Mostly for unrealistic things,
for why waste time praying
for things that were likely to happen.
I prayed for protection for myself,
my family and friends.
I prayed for bicycles and toys.
I often prayed when I was in trouble,
trouble I created myself.
these were mostly selfish prayers.
they were seldom if ever answered.
As I grew older,
I prayed for help with relationships,
work, and my future. Again selfish prayers ,

why should God do for me what I should be doing for myself? God gave me the brain, the ability and expected me to use it.

The law of average could account
for the outcome of these prayers.
As I matured,
I realized the self-indulgence of my prayer and only prayed for things beyond my control.

I have had many trials in my life,
and though many were not my doing,
my prayers were not answered in those cases either.

I prayed for peace in the world,
an end to hunger, poverty, and hatred. my results were the same. I continued to pray unselfishly,
throughout my life,
but eventually came to accept there would be no answers. One night I stopped praying....

Praying

had become a lifelong habit that was hard to break. At night,
I would just lie in bed and think. I would think about God
and why
God never answered.
I would think about what God expected of me. What I expected of my children.

What I expected of my fellow HUMANITY. Why the world is the way, it is.
What could be done?
I would lay still, look out into my closed eyelids and open my mind in wonder.
Over the years I have had glimpses, feelings, insights That were like so many pieces of a puzzle, not fitting anywhere.
It took a jolt to make me realize
That
God had been there all along.

GOD just wasn't meeting MY expectations.

Prayer
is the
Most Important Part

of
Understanding God.

To understand God is to understand life.
We are taught to pray when we are children. Depending on the faith you were raised in the instructions vary. Put your hands together flat ,or interlock your fingers. Go down on one knee, or maybe both
Stand up and rock back and forth
Head up toward the heavens, or maybe bow your head Make the sign of the cross, or not
Say the words out loud, or just think them Is it better to pray in a specific place,
a church, temple, in front of a cross?
Should you face east ,west, or straight up? People mostly ask for things when they pray Material things, money, relationships, guidance, health, intervention I have even hear prayers for rain, (without dangerous storms) talk about specific !
God does not grant wishes (that's a Jeanie) God does not give gifts (that's Santa Clause) God does not do requests (that's a D J )
If this is what you have been expecting,

I am sure you have been disappointed
God gave us the ability to do these things for ourselves, And
the intelligence to understand
that some things are out of our control

If

You Have
Spent Your Time
Talking
To

GOD

With
NO
Results

Try listening . . . . .

OPEN YOUR MIND TO GOD
WITH NO EXPECTATIONS
BE RECEPTIVE TO WHAT GOD WANTS Everyone knows, whenyou’re talking, you’re not listening Do you think you need to tell GOD about your troubles? Do you think he doesn't know?
People have been asking God for the same things since we were created.
When will we learn? How long will it take. The time is up to us
God does not intervene in our everyday lives GOD waits as a parent, waiting for a child to take their first steps.
