Note: The Old Testament prophets had no concept of a new Jerusalem so both would be spoken of as the same city, unbeknownst to them.

If you aren’t a member of a scriptural New Testament church, you are not a citizen of the new Jerusalem. You may visit, of course, but you won’t be living there. You are a citizen of heaven, which is never a bad thing.

Heaven has been described as “The most beautiful place God Himself can imagine”.

Before anyone believes I’m saying that only Baptists are in the Bride of Christ, let me point out that there are plenty of Baptists who are part of the “general assembly”.

There are many without the name of Baptist, who can trace their church origins back to the Church at Jerusalem that Christ started; the church of the firstborn.

Now for the truth that offends.

No one called “Protestant” will be in the Bride of Christ. If they are scripturally saved by grace through faith, they will be citizens of heaven.

No one called “Catholic” will be in the bride of Christ: same caveat.

But you will be in great Company. This John is, of course, the Baptist. We read in

John 3

27 John answered and said, A man can

receive nothing, except it be given him from

heaven. 28 Ye yourselves bear me witness,

that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am

sent before him. 29 He that hath the bride is
